DO I HAVE TO HAVE A TAN ON STAGE?
A tan (specifically heavy DHA color) is not a necessarily a requirement, however, it is very highly encouraged. You want to display your hard-earned definition and, in order to do so... you have to be darker than a “normal tan” due to the intensity of the stage lighting. This helps bring out definition in the muscle, as it highlights the shadows that the definition creates on your body. Even dark-skinned competitors need to tan with product, because it will add a little red tone to their skin to ensure they don’t look yellow, grey or ashy under the bright lights." (NPCNewsOnline.com) For more details regarding tanning, please visit http://www.npcnewsonline.com/contest-prep-101-tanning-tips-for-the-stage/54618/, or contact the official competition tanning service for MuscleSport Production events.

CAN I SPEAK WITH JUDGES ABOUT COMPETITION FEEDBACK?
You may approach judges after the evening finals are completed. Judges must follow the rules and are not allowed to speak to competitors and offer feedback during and between the pre-juding and evening finals. Some judges offer to give feedback via email after the compeition... please keep in mind that all judges have very busy schedules and may not give feedback right away. It is HIGHLY advised to speak with your trainer or coach if you have one and get their feedback. They should be very capable of giving you feedback based on what they too seen onstage.

WHEN DO I CHECKIN FOR THE COMPETITION?
Once you are registered, you will recieve a confirmation of your entry. This confirmation will also contain alot of information that will be critical to review. You will also recieve a competitor emails leading up to the competition reminding you of important times and dates. Checkins will be Friday evening.

Even though you are registered for the competition, you are not officially checked in until the checkins. This is where you will be weighed for a weight division or your height checked for a height division. You will also have the opportunity to make sure you are in the right class/division. Checkins is also a great place to learn more about show photography, music, etc.
